CSO Programme

The Civil Society Programme will take place from Thursday 14 May through Friday 15 May. The Programme in 2015 is introducing a new approach to the flagship event of the EBRD engagement with civil society.

For the first time, CSOs had the chance to shape the Civil Society Programme through a social media consultation. In addition, CSOs were invited to submit proposals for the organisation of a discussion panel dedicated to issues of specific interest to the Caucasus region and stakeholders in the EBRD.

For further details please access the Agenda for the Civil Society Programme.

Discussion Panel

The main event of the Programme will be a panel entitled Youth Employment: ‘Lost in Translation’ between Skills and Employers’ Needs.

Roundtable sessions

Representatives from the EBRD, international organisations, businesses and civil society organisations will take part in a series of multi-stakeholder discussions in relation to topics such as innovative approaches to CSO engagement, social entrepreneurship, climate change and road safety.

From Dialogue to Partnership: Innovative Approaches to CSO Engagement

Between Private and Third Sector: Enabling and Financing Social Enterprises

Climate Change in Global Development Agenda

Effective Local Stakeholder Partnerships to Improve Road Safety

We welcome all Business Forum participants to our discussion panel and roundtable sessions.

Focused sessions

The focused discussion sessions between civil society representatives and the Bank’s senior management will allow in-depth dialogue on the EBRD’s investment operations and policy dialogue initiatives. The sessions will cover EBRD activities in energy, natural resources, transport, and agribusiness. There will be also sessions dedicated to the independent accountability mechanism and evaluation at the EBRD.

Civil society organisations will also have an opportunity to exchange views on strategic issues with the Board of Directors and the EBRD President in two dedicated sessions on Friday.

Our focused sessions are open to representatives of civil society organisations only.
